Melech David is running for kindness
Not for Senate. Not for Congress. One goal: to spread kindness in the world, one chair at a time.
The Kindness Initiative
Melech David
Not for Senate. Not for Congress.
For kindness, spread across the whole world.
Our Mission
Melech David is running for one office that every person can hold: being good to one another. No party, no ballot, no term limits. One simple goal: more kindness in the world, starting with each of us, today.
Every campaign asks for your vote. This one asks for something harder and more important: that you be kind, today, to someone who needs it.
It starts small. A chair pulled up at a lunch table, an apology that comes first, a name remembered. Small things, done by many people, change the world.
I’m not running for Senate or Congress. I’m running for kindness. We are going to spread kindness in the world.
Melech DavidRunning for KindnessThe Platform
The whole agenda fits on one page. Every plank is something you can do before tonight.
No one on our watch goes without a meal. Share food with people and families who need it.
A visit, a call, an hour of company. Show up for people who feel forgotten.
Carry the groceries, fix the fence, shovel the steps. Small acts, done every day.
Words that build people up. In our homes, on our streets, and online.
Kindness needs no credit. Give without asking for anything back.
Let go of grudges and make room for peace between people.
The Story
It began in a lunchroom, with a kid eating alone, until another kid pulled up a chair like he’d known him all along. That one chair is the whole idea.
The lunchroom, the office, the bus, the waiting room. Someone is sitting by themselves.
Sit down, say hello, make room. Do for one stranger what somebody once did for you.
Kindness spreads the way it started, one person at a time. Invite someone to run with you.
The Kindness Pledge
“I pledge to spread kindness in the world: to give without keeping score, to speak gently, to help where I stand, and to leave every person better than I found them.”
How to Run for Kindness
See someone eating alone? Sit down with them, or invite them to your table.
Ask the person who serves you, drives you or cleans up after you their name, and use it.
If you laughed at someone, go back. “I’m sorry” is the bravest speech there is.
Move your coat. Slide over. Hold the door. There’s room for anybody.
Leave a kind note for a teacher, a neighbor, a coworker, a stranger.
Tell one person about a kindness someone once did for you. Then do it for someone else.
